REAL CURE. GENTLE CURE.
Homeopathy has been described by a wise man as a beautiful and good woman, very difficult to win over. I would describe it as God; good, benevolent, but mostly beyond full comprehension.
Be do not feel discouraged or frightened by these big words of mine. Homeopathy is a delight once you get to know it better. But it demands hard work. But don't worry; once you discover the joys of knowing Homeopathy, the hard work will seem an enjoyable experience.
Coming to more practical considerations, you may ask, why should I be interested in Homeopathy? The answer is simple. It empowers you with a strong weapon to fight disease. A weapon any hard working person can learn. No, you do not need a college degree to learn it. Anyone can learn it.
Everyone falls ill sometimes. In fact sickness is a part of life. Allopathic medicine can prove to very expensive. Also they come with harsh side-effects. Homeopathy remedies (as they are called) are dirt cheap in comparison. A small vial containing about 50-60 pellets cost about 25 cents (Rs. 10). In comparison a tablet of a common antibiotic tablet costs the same.
Why is Homeopathy so little known? The answer partly is that there are no multi-billion dollar companies involved. There is no big business involved. So no corresponding big advertising and publicity budgets.
But let me assure you. Homeopathy is a treasure once you discover it.
Next time we will begin to take our fist steps in learning Homeopathy. I will recommend which books will be of immense use to you. I will start at the most basic level; so please do not feel awed about anything. Remember that I too am a layman. I hold no degree or diploma in Homeopathy. One of the greatest Homeopathic physician was Count Boenninghausen (Wikipedia); he was a layman like you and me.
USEFUL BOOK FOR BEGINNERS
Prepared by Alain Naude from a number of papers left by Dr. Hubbard, this small work remains a concise description of the theory and practice of homeopathy.

Hi, I read a Interview of dr luc de schepper he advocates the Boennghausian method of repertorising, I am a lay man want to learn Homeopathy, and I see a good logic behind the Boennghausian method than Kentenian, So will it be to good to start from Boennghausin method for a layman???. And Sir/Madam please give an elaborate post on self repertorising for Boennghausian method, and computer repertorising.
I have written extensively on prescribing in this post: http://gentlecare.blogspot.in/2008/03/some-vital-hints-for-homeopathic.html.
Moreover there is no question of preferring Kent's method or Boeninghausn method. It all depends on the case before you. If the mentals are strong, Kent's method will be useful. If the aggravation symptoms are clear in a case, go for Boeninghausen method. If the keynotes are clear, use the keynotes.
